A Classic Video Game Resurrected: Q*bert Rebooted

July 18, 2014 // 0 Comments

Q*Bert Reboted

B*Bert rebooted offers both the classic game itself and Q*bert: Rebooted. Both are similar, you jump on blocks and they change colour. Change the colour of all the blocks and the level’s complete. Simple, pure, retro goodness. Through in a few enemies and you’ve got all the complexity you need. Sadly, the classic version here isn’t quite as good as the original (but really, the original of anything is always the best, right?). Still, the gameplay is excellent and it definitely will put a smile on the face of nostalgic old gamers like me.

In The Samaritan Paradox you play protagonist Ord Saloman, a Ph.D student who is living in Sweden and has a healthy a petite for literature and cryptography. The game starts with Ord solving a simple little puzzle in a book the author of which (Jonatan Bergwall) has killed himself. This introduction serves to get you accustomed to the gameplay, which is fairly traditional point and click style. Then Ord comes across the daughter of Bergwall, Sara, who assigns him a mission: discover a book Bergwall wrote in secrecy.
