Let’s Support: Level 22 on Greenlight

Level 22 is a stealth game from Noego. Released on mobile devices in the fall of 2013, Noego are now attempting to bring the game to Linux, Mac and Windows via Steam, for which they need support. So, why should we support it?

For starters, Level 22 is a hilarious game that has excellent gameplay and awesome pixel art. It stars player-character Gary, who is recovering from a monstrous birthday celebration. He’s just woken up and, surprise surprise, he’s late for work. It’s not the first time, either. He’s late for work so often that he’s going to be fired if his boss catches him. His only chance to keep his job is to sneak in.

To sneak in you’ll need to keep your eye on the movements of other employees by making the most of the camera angle, which you can pan for a good view. At times you will have to sprint across someone’s field of view. At these times you’ll be told what the other characters field of view is, you must then get through as quick as possible. On your way to your desk you’ll hide in cabinets and in other areas to stealthily bypass would-be whistleblowers.

So why does Level 22 deserve your support? For me, it’s about the hilarity of the game. The idea of sneaking into work is a wonderfully witty premise and one we can all sympathise with –well, I can anyway. Most games that try their hand at comedy fail, but Level 22 could well be a great funny game. For that, I reckon it’s worth support. If you agree, show your support over on Steam.
